Island Charm Crawl

Hosted By: What's Up FMB

When: May - October, 2026

Presented by What’s Up FMB, with support from Alex King Group, King Family Foundation, Diva’s and Dolls, and The Whale, the Island Charm Crawl is a summer-long island adventure running May through October across Fort Myers Beach.

Participants purchase an official Charm Crawl kit and explore participating restaurants, bars, boutiques, attractions, and local businesses while collecting unique charms along the way. Each stop offers its own experience, giving crawlers the chance to shop, sip, dine, and discover more of the island throughout the season.

The response has been incredible, and the crawl is officially underway. We are currently sold out of our in-stock kits and are now operating on a presale basis for the next round of inventory.

What started as a fun collectible experience has quickly become one of the island’s most talked-about summer activities—perfect for girls weekends, beach getaways, locals, and visitors alike.

Those who complete the crawl will earn a final completion charm and island bragging rights at the closing celebration.

WUFMB Annual General Meeting

Registration and voter check-in: 2:30 PM

The What’s Up FMB Annual General Meeting gives members an opportunity to hear an update on the organization’s progress, review the past year’s accomplishments and financial position, learn about priorities for the coming year, consider the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws, and participate in the election of the Board of Directors.

All What’s Up FMB members are encouraged to attend. Eligible Business and Nonprofit Members in good standing may vote through one designated Authorized Representative. Each eligible organization receives one vote. Individual Members are welcome to attend but are not eligible to vote.

Voting eligibility will be verified against the official membership record as of September 30, 2026. Submitting an RSVP does not independently establish or eliminate voting eligibility.

Please RSVP by October 9, 2026. Advance registration allows What’s Up FMB to confirm membership status and Authorized Representatives before the meeting. Members who do not RSVP may experience a delay at check-in while their eligibility and authority to vote are verified.

Board applications are now closed. Qualified candidate names, businesses, biographies and statements will be provided to members before the election.

Members will vote separately on the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws and the election of directors. The bylaws vote will be completed and announced before the Board election begins.

Members do not have to serve on the Board to become more involved. Committee chair, committee member and volunteer opportunities will be presented at the AGM in the areas of Governance, Volunteer Coordination, Membership, Events, Marketing and Communications, Sponsorship and Fundraising, Finance and Audit, and Board Administration.

American Sand Sculpting Championship

When: November 19-23, 2026

Each November, one of America’s premier sand-sculpting events comes to Fort Myers Beach. Master sculptors from around the world go head-to-head creating massive, intricate sand sculptures created from nothing but beach sand and creativity. The 36th annual championship  is held at the DiamondHead Beach Resort, with friendly competitions, family sand-play areas, live entertainment, food vendors, and more.

FMB Christmas Boat Parade

The annual Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce Christmas Boat Parade lights up the back bay waterways each December with beautifully decorated vessels gliding across the waterway. Boats assemble at Salty Sam’s Marina, depart at 6:00 PM, and travel past waterfront restaurants, the Matanzas Pass Bridge and Siesta Isles canals—creating a festive, floating light display for all to enjoy.

Christmas Tree Festival & Holiday Raffle

Each December, the Fort Myers Beach Women’s Club hosts its annual Christmas Tree Festival, featuring beautifully decorated trees and wreaths created by local non-profits and offered in a festive auction to benefit island causes. The event is free and open to the public, with limited VIP tickets available for an enhanced experience. What’s Up FMB joins the celebration by raffling a uniquely themed holiday tree, with proceeds supporting community programs and events.

Merry Misfits Bike & Golf Cart Parade

Join us on April 17, 2027 for the Friends of Lovers Key annual Turtle Trot 5K, a beloved tradition celebrating sea turtle season and the beauty of Lovers Key State Park! This scenic race takes participants along the pristine beach and through the park’s shaded trails, offering stunning coastal views and a chance to experience the natural habitats we work to protect.

All participants receive a commemorative race shirt and category winners get their placement medal. Proceeds directly benefit environmental education and conservation programs at Lovers Key State Park.

This year, the celebration is being supported through a community-powered fundraising effort in partnership with the Town of Fort Myers Beach.

Allyson's 5th of July Beach Clean Up

Join us for Allyson's Annual 5th of July Beach Cleanup as we come together to give back to the beautiful beaches we all love.

After celebrating Independence Day, let's help keep Fort Myers Beach clean for residents, visitors, wildlife, and future generations. This year's event will benefit CROW (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife), with proceeds supporting their important work caring for injured and orphaned wildlife throughout Southwest Florida.

Participants will meet at The Beach Bar before heading out for the cleanup. Everyone who participates will receive:

• One free raffle ticket
• One complimentary drink courtesy of The Beach Bar
• The opportunity to win great raffle prizes donated by local businesses
